FAQ
1. Where are you?
We are situated approximately 700 metres from London Bridge Tube station heading towards TowerBridge.
2. What time?
We currently operate from 1900- 2000 for Children on Wednesday and Friday evenings, with the adults session taking place on the same evenings 1 hour later, we also train on Sunday mornings from 10.30- 11.30.
3. How much is each session? And do I have to pay upfront, monthly, Direct Debit?
The cost per class is £3.50 for juniors (under 16) an £7.00 for seniors, you wish to join our monthly payment scheme, further information can be obtained from our receptionist.
4. Am I too old, too young?
No the youngest student is 6 years old and the oldest in their late 50's, so age is not a constraint.
5. I am unfit will it be too much for me?
You will train at a pace that is suitable to you, but the more frequently you train your general fitness levels will increase and improve.
6. How long are the sessions?
For Juniors it's an hour and for Seniors it's an hour and a half.
7. What do I need to start?
Just a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms initially, after a few sessions you would be expected to purchase a uniform.
8. How much is the suit?
The price varies dependent on the quality of the uniform.
9. Do I need any special equipment....pads, gum shield, etc?
Eventually you will need to purchase shin guards, groin boxes, breast protectors and some sparring gloves for your best protection as this is a contact sport.
10. Are you covered by insurance, Public Liability Insurance?
All instructors are covered by their own personal insurance as well as having Public Liability Insurance.
11. Are you CRB checked?
All instructors who teach children are CRB checked.
12. What are your qualifications?
We have an Official Instructor’s Qualification as set by the International Karate Organisation.
13. Have you 1st Aid Qualifications?
All instructors are qualified in first aid.
